What We Do

When a baby dies, their family doesn’t just lose a newborn. They lose a lifetime of memories. And have very little time to create the memories of their baby that will last.

Little Cloud helps bereaved families create memories with their baby through 3D casting and tiny clothing.

Memory-making opportunities are inconsistent in hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland due to staffing, training and funding.

Our mission is to see every hospital and hospice in the UK and Ireland providing memory-making opportunities to support families by providing training, resources and materials to teams.

We manufacture real, fully accessible sleepsuits and hats for babies smaller than standard “premature” sized clothing.

Our Story

Little Cloud, formerly Judah's Cloud, was launched in 2017 after our son, Judah, was stillborn at 40 +6 weeks gestation. Just 12 hours before Judah was expected to arrive via planned c-section, we discovered he had no heartbeat. At 7:55am on 5th August 2017, Judah was born weighing 8lbs and 11oz.

Shortly after birth, he was dressed in a little grey sleepsuit with a big smiling cloud on the front. Before his funeral we changed his clothes so we could keep this special outfit. We were also incredibly fortunate to receive a 3D foot cast from our hospital, which is something we will forever treasure. We will forever be thankful for the incredible bereavement care we received, and it breaks our hearts to know that not every family gets the same compassion, memory making opportunities and care we received.

Now treasuring our memories like casting and clothing, we and our team at Little Cloud would like to help create those memory items for other parents who sadly experience loss before, during or shortly after birth.

We’re a small charity and the incredible people who volunteer or fundraise for us make our work possible. Each £1 donated impacts the lives of families who have lost a child, and each volunteer makes the services that do that possible.

Where We Operate

We partner with maternity units, neonatal units and children’s hospices across the UK and Ireland to provide 3D casting services and specialist clothing.

We work in partnership with trusts and charities to help continue the work they do by providing additional opportunities whilst providing a continuity of care.
